About Us
We’re Colin and Amanda — two Tasmanians with a shared love of winter, travel, design, and experiences that bring people together.
We’ve been together and living in Hobart for 15 years (married for 10), and now raising our two daughters, Harley and Lennon — whose names eventually came together to form “HARNON”.
Long before Harnon existed, sauna found us while travelling through Scandinavia in 2013. What began as curiosity quickly became something much deeper. The contrast of heat, cold, and rest completely changed the way we experienced winter, discomfort, nature, and even each other. The feeling afterwards — calm, clear-headed, euphoric, and deeply grounded — stayed with us long after we returned home to Tasmania.
During COVID, sauna started finding its way back into conversation more and more. We found ourselves asking the same question over and over: why doesn’t Tasmania already have a stronger sauna culture? To us, it felt like it should naturally belong here — cold water, dark winters, wilderness, fresh air, and a slower pace of life.
It was always here.
What began as an idea slowly turned into years of designing and building by hand — creating the exact experience we wished existed in Tasmania. Today, Harnon is our way of sharing that feeling with others: heat, cold, rest, connection, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible place we call home.
